Nipah virus

you are all well. Today I am carrying. What is Nipah virus?

Nipah virus is a type of RNA virus that is part of the genus Henipah virus in the family Paramyxoviridae. The disease can be spread through direct contact with infected animals and humans. Diagnosis is made from the symptoms of the disease and can be confirmed through laboratory tests.




The disease is cured through adjuvant treatment. There is no vaccine or special treatment for this disease till 2018. The disease can be prevented by keeping away from bats and sick pigs and by not drinking unclean date juice. As of 2013, 572 people have been infected with the Nipa virus and 54% of them have died. In 2016, at least 13 people died of the disease in the Indian state of Kerala.




The disease was first reported in 1999 in Malaysia and Singapore. The virus is named after a village in Malaysia called Sungai Nipah. At that time, millions of pigs were killed to prevent the disease from spreading.
Editing signs and symptoms Symptoms of the disease occur within 3614 days of infection. Symptoms include fever, headache, muscle aches, vomiting, sore throat, or influenza. Nervous symptoms such as dizziness, thirst, fainting, incoherent delirium, and severe brain infections may be observed. Some people may experience severe shortness of breath, including pneumonia, severe chest pain. Patients who present with shortness of breath are more likely to have the disease than non-patients with shortness of breath. Patients may go unconscious within 24-48 hours. A small number of people who get better initially may later suffer from a brain infection. Mortality rates can range from 40% to 75%.
